Fringed Pink

A handmade paper fringed pink (Dianthus superbus) mounted in a shadow box frame with glass. I modelled this beautiful wildflower on one that I found hiking in the hills above Nerja, Spain.

The wooden frame is 9.5 x 11.5" and about 2" deep. It opens on a hinge so you could add your own treasures inside as well! I have mounted the flower on a piece of heavy turquoise art paper inside the frame. There is hanging hardware on the back and it is signed. 

Each of my paper flowers is handmade with care and attention to detail. This sculpture is made from doublette crepe paper, wire, acrylic paint, and glue. Using high quality materials and careful techniques ensures that my flowers will last a long time. The glass-fronted frame will protect the flower from dust, UV light, and pets. This unique shadow box would make a fun addition to a cabinet of curiosities, a bookshelf, or an art collection.
